Deep blue eyes...
His eyes could only see white... clinical, antiseptic white... It choked and confined him in a blurry ivory nightmare. He tried to break free, but the white only held him down and smothered his sanity with its strong arms. There was nothing else but that plain, sharp space and him.
And who? Who was this person? What was this body? He stared hands and noticed that legs were entrenched underneath the white beside him. He ran a left hand-his left hand- through hair-his hair- and frowned in frustration. There was nothing to suggest he had a name in the thick blanket of white, which seemed to darken as only bleach white could.
And he noticed indescript voices that floated on a detached plane. They whimpered and shouted and murmured and sighed around his head. "Ba..." he frowned, not able to make sense of the strange word. Ba? Of course, he was in the world of sheep. And he soon saw other hands as the white darkened further, though still remaining so white that he could barely keep his eyes opened.
But sheep didn't have hands, he argued to his mind. And sheep didn't speak, either. "..moru chi..."
But this was no language he spoke and his brow furrowed as he wracked his mind for the answer to this conundrum God had presented to him. And he saw those haunting blue eyes again, the ones that had been with him before the white had taken over his world.
"Mamoru Chiba, are..."
He kept his eyes opened fully, trying to fight the aggressive white with his willpower. He didn't want to shut his eyes and miss the inhabitants of the new world...
"...wake..."
And he saw a flash of blue light and heard a terrible sound like that of a scream and saw a large red mass roll off of a cliff-like growth and his mind began shooing the dark white away with horrific pictures that had no names.
And a man in all white with black hair and glasses stared at him with two women in matching white costumes beside him. One had a clipboard and they all smiled in a sincere and tragic manner that reminded him of the scream that still played in his ears.
"Do you know who you are?" the man asked calmly.
"No." That word seemed to form on his lips though he did not notice.
"You are Mamoru Chiba, and you alone survived a car crash, though unfortunately your parents..."
And the darkest white of all took his mind into its painful grip, interrupting the man's clear voice.
